“Virginia Ham Meets New Orleans Gumbo” personifies the down-home spicy sounds of The Ham Biscuits. Influenced by artists such as Mava Wright, John Boutté, and Big Al Carson, The Ham Biscuits combine the festive, carefree spirit of New Orleans with a dynamic “tongue-in-cheek” vibe to create a live show of Creole funk — a stompin' good time for crowds of all sizes.

This dynamic lineup consists of — Solomon Miles (vocals), Alan Crawford (guitar), David Somerville (piano, vocals), Josh Santamaria (drums, vocals), and Martha Cassidy (trombone). The Ham Biscuits can be seen performing in venues throughout the Richmond and Ashland Virginia area, and are currently working on an as yet, untitled EP of original music.
